AI agent with n8n workflows

An AI agent collects the required details and sends them to your configured n8n workflow within its authorized actions.

The customer context

I need help with a service request.

An internal process may need application-specific fields and checks. A configured workflow can handle them while preserving explicit action permissions.

What remains after the conversation

Through the configured n8n workflow, the AI agent opened service case S-530 and assigned it to support with the required details.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can we connect the AI agent to our own n8n environment?

Compatibility is checked against the accessibility of your n8n environment and the actions you want to run. Your team remains responsible for maintaining it and its access to connected applications.

Which conversation data is sent to n8n?

Only the fields defined for the particular workflow, such as customer contact details, the selected service and the requested appointment. Sending the entire conversation should not be assumed when specific fields are enough.

Can n8n connect the agent to an internal company system?

Yes, if that system supports the required access and action. Your team configures the connection, limits permitted operations and verifies the result before using it with customers.

Who maintains the n8n workflow and handles failed steps?

Responsibility is agreed during implementation: your team or the implementation team monitors the connection and handles exceptions. The agent must not present a failed or unfinished automation as a completed job.
